Eddie Carrillo - Camp Director

Eddie CarrilloThe Panther Soccer Camp under the direction of Director of Soccer and Men’s Head Coach at Chapman University. Eddie is entering his 13th season as Head Coach at Chapman University after coaching at the junior college and high school levels for many years. The team finished 12-4-2 for the 2008 season.  With 99 career head coaching victories, he is the winningest men's soccer coach in Chapman University history.  The Men’s program has also made 3 appearances in the NCAA Tournament.  Eddie received his Master’s in the field of Education from The Claremont Graduate School and his Bachelors in Computer Information Systems from Chapman University and currently Teaches math at Orange High School.  Eddie played one year at Cal State Fullerton before transferring to Rancho Santiago College where he earned All-Conference honors on a team that was ranked #1 in the country. Eddie finished his career at Chapman University helping the team receive an at large bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament in his senior year. In addition to directing the Panther Soccer Camps, Eddie has also coached in the California Olympic Development program, The UCLA Elite high school camps and the College Soccer Academies.  Eddie is also currently The Club Director and founder of Canyon PSA (Panther Soccer Academy).  Canyon PSA was founded in 1996 and started out with 2 boys teams and has grown to almost 20 teams with boys and girls programs U9 thru U18. www.canyonpsa.com

 

Sal Lopez - Camp Assistant Director

Sal LopezSal has been Assistant Director with the Panther Soccer Camp since 1997.  Sal was the assistant coach of the Men’s soccer program at Chapman University from 1996 until 2004. After a three year hiatus from Chapman University Men’s Soccer program, Sal returns in 2008.  Sal was born and raised in Santa Ana where he has coached at the Jr. High and High School level. He has served as a Head Coach in several other soccer clubs before assisting in the inception of Canyon PSA Soccer Club in 1996.  He was an assistant coach at Rancho Santiago College and is currently the Assistant Director of Coaching with Canyon PSA (Panther Soccer Academy). Sal received his Bachelors degree in Spanish from Chapman University and is currently pursuing his teaching credential. Sal played his college soccer at Rancho Santiago College, where the team won two conference championships.

Recreation Camp Coaches
The Recreation camp is staffed by current and former collegiate players from the men's and women's soccer program and neighboring colleges.  Our camper to staff ratio is 8 to 1, so our campers get the individual attention they need at a young age.

Advanced Academy Coaches
The Advanced Academy is staffed by current and former Collegiate Coaches that have many years of experience in developing players.  Our camper to staff ratio is 8 to 1, so each camper receives the individual attention necessary to improve his/her individual skill and development.
